Most days I feel like I am a colorful and cartoony character against a drab, quasi-realistic environment, so the style comes pretty naturally! LOL! Anyway, planning and actually doing are often worlds apart, so we’ll see how it goes.

I admire your foresight…I’ve never been able to plan anything further than what’s for lunch. Your style definitely has an Avery-esque feel. What I like best is the juxtaposition of the colorful and cartoony characters against the drab, quasi-realistic environment. Looking forward to a whole year of Humdrum Heights!

Thanks, Fave, I really appreciate that! I consider Avery one of the true geniuses of cartooning and his influence looms large over my work. Maybe my childhood spent reading all those animation books by Preston Blair (who worked in one of Avery’s units) had something to do with it, too!
